MARGARET MARY SHEEDY (nee LACROIX) Peacefully, on July 3, 2000, in her 84th year. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Francis Thomas; her sister Isabelle and her brother Ollie. Her family and many friends will cherish her memory including her nine children and their spouses, Maureen and Ken Dawson, Carol and John Cochrane, Gregory, Timothy and Teresa, Brian and Deborah, Paul and Sandra, Patrick and Allyson, David and Suzanne, Christopher and Janice and her 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and close friend Maddie. Her surviving sisters are Evelyn, Agnes, Flora, Jean and Madeline. Margaret was born in Whitewood, Sask. and moved to Winnipeg where she was married in 1938. She was an active member of several religious and social organizations including the Catholic Womens League and the League for Life. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. Guided by her strong faith she gave her family spiritual strength and was always there to listen, talk and offer encouragement. She had a way of making everyone feel special. She has left all of us with an immeasurable wealth of treasured memories, each a lesson in living, giving and loving. She will be missed but will remain very much alive in our hearts. Special acknowledgement is given to Dr. Pan for the care and advice given over many years. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her sons. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
