STELLA ROSNEY It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Stella Rosney, aged 73, on Wednesday, July 5, 2000 at her residence. She leaves to mourn her mother Vera Halipchuk; sister Alice (Peter) Lemecha; three sons, Bernie, Barry (Brenda), Brian (Karin) and six grandchildren, Keri Lynn (Myron), Lisa Dawn, Christopher, Amanda, Kelsey and James. Stella was predeceased by her husband Bernard (Bert) and father Daniel Halipchuk. Mom was a long time resident of Narol and was very active in many community activities. She was especially proud of being one of the founding members in 1949 of the Corpus Christi Council of the Catholic Womens League of Canada, and in supporting her husbands activities in the Knights of Columbus. After successfully raising her family she achieved her life long dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1969 and worked in her chosen career until her retirement from the Middlechurch Nursing Home. In her leisure time she enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, playing cards with her many friends, and travelling, especially to Phoenix after her retirement. Prayers will be said on Sunday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 5819 Henderson Hwy., Narol, Man. Interment will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. The family would like to thank moms many friends, neighbours and relatives for their support and companionship over the years.
