STELLA YAREMCHUK (nee MOLCHKO) On Thursday, July 6, 2000 at Health Sciences Centre, Stella Yaremchuk passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 70 years. Stella was born June 6, 1930 at the Onysko house in East Kildonan. She attended Polson, Prince Edward and Lord Wolseley Schools and attended business college completing a one year secretarial course. She met her husband in the spring of 1953 and they were married on June 26, 1954. She worked at the Film Exchange, Western Grocers, CNR, Unemployment Insurance and finally at Eatons where she spent many years as a security checker. She was a longtime member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church and their Womens League. Her favourite past times included gardening, embroidery, knitting, crocheting and making perogies and paska. She loved spending time with her precious grandchildren by reading and playing with them and attending their concerts and special activities. Stella is survived by her husband Edward; children, Patricia (David) Dyck, Christine (Armand) Faucher; two grandchildren, Danielle and Andrew Faucher; one sister Mary Sarnecki; sisters-in-law, Frances Machonka and Helen Ness; many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Pauline Molchko. Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be held, 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 9 at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 965 Boyd Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 10 also at the church with Rev. E. Hafichuk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of MICU, Health Sciences Centre, staff of GA4 and Dr. Maksymiuk. Special thanks to the Sisters of St. Joseph and Father Ernie for their kind visits.
