WILLIAM DAVID "DAVE" ALEXANDER 1907 - 2000 W.D. Alexander, passed way peacefully, Thursday, July 6th at Morden District General Hospital at 92 years of age. Dave was predeceased by his wife Annette (Tasker) Alexander in 1993; three sisters, Margaret Alexander, Jean Alexander and Isabelle Bell; two brothers, Donald and James Alexander and his parents George and Jessie Alexander. He is survived by three daughters, Anne (David) Harris of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Janice Friesen of Winnipeg, and Bonnie Alexander and special friend Allan Gawley of Morden, and one brother Mac (Gladys) Alexander of Miami. He will also be sadly missed by his six grandchildren and their families, Dawn (Harris), Frank, Sara and Drew Dostaler, John Harris, Kimberley (Friesen), Victor, Braeden and Maya de Waal, Edward (Ted) Friesen and his special friend Cherie Mitchell, Geoffrey, Sean and Abbigail Friesen, Jennipher Alexander, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dave was born in Rosebank, MB and lived most of his life on the family farm in Miami, MB. He sold the family farm to his nephew in 1966 and moved to Miami. He worked with Crop Insurance and the Department of Highways for many years before retiring. Mom and Dad moved to Morden in 1991. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care our father received at the Morden Hospital from all the staff. Memorial services will be held at the St. Pauls United Church, Morden, Monday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Kerry Craig officiating. Ash interment to follow the service at the Miami Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the charity of their choice.
