Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRANT ALBERT MORSETTE December 2, 1958 - July 4, 2000 After a lengthy and valiant struggle against diabetes and its complications, we sadly announce the death of Grant at the St. Boniface General Hospital on July 4, 2000. Grant is survived by his loving wife Anne-Marie; his two adorable sons, Kyle and Evan; his mother and stepfather Janet and Joseph Haywood; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and Achiel Delbaere; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and his paternal grandfather Art Morsette of Hinton, AB; and stepsisters, Susan, Kathy, and Cindy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Arthur and grandfather Albert Nuytten on July 13, 1969, his grandmother Elsie Nuytten on February 2, 1992 and his paternal grandmother Violet on June 1, 1984. Grant attended school in St. Boniface at Marion School, Provencher School and graduated from Louis Riel Collegiate in 1976 with a certificate of awards in arts. He lived most of his life in St. Boniface, spent five years in St. Genevieve, MB and since 1993, lived in East Kildonan. Aside from his family , Grants greatest love was that of the outdoors -- he loved nature in all its glory, especially that of fishing with his father and later with his great friend and cousin Nick Pasowisty in the mountains of B.C. He so deeply wanted to go back there one day with his wife and sons. After studying one year in sciences at the University of Manitoba he decided to take a different route in life. He worked at Guertin Implements, Cummings Small Engines and finally at Reimers Farm and Garden Supplies in Steinbach, MB, where he excelled in salesmanship. He enjoyed all his work and all those he came in contact with, both in place of employment and in social situations. He was completely without prejudice. He had a great sense of humour until the last day of his life. Grant will be truly missed and remembered by all those who knew him. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St., with Timothy Fenlon officiating. Interment to follow in Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcel Cantin, Paul Vandale, Andy Morsette, Nick Pasowisty, Tony Morsette and Wayne Leys. The family would like to send their special thanks to the wonderful staff of 5B Medicine at St. Boniface General Hospital. He loved you all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for the family at the Belgian Credit Union, 387 Provencher Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R2H 0G9. P. COUTU & CO.
