Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILTON DAVID KERNAGHAN Peacefully on July 8, 2000 at the Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Milton David Kernaghan, beloved husband of Ethel, passed away at the age of 76 years. Besides his wife Ethel, he leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Phil and wife Deb, Greg and wife Anni and grandchildren, Jaakko, Maria, Brendan, Kari and Melanie; two sisters, Evelyn and Edith and five brothers, John, Bob, Eddie, Gordon and Leonard. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Margaret Anne and a brother Raymond. Milton was born in Cartwright, Manitoba, on July 26, 1923. He had many warm memories of growing up on a farm before moving to Winnipeg, where he married Ethel in 1951. He worked for most of his career at the Bay until his retirement 12 years ago. Milton was an incredibly generous person, never drawing attention to himself, but always eager to help others in whatever way he could. He loved spending time with his family and friends, who will remember his warm and friendly nature and special sense of humour. The family would like to thank Dr. Lee and the staff at Concordia Hospital 3rd Floor for their compassion and dedication and the many family and friends whose visits with Milton brought encouragement and support. A celebration of Miltons life will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. at East Kildonan Baptist Church, 700 Watt. St., Winnipeg, with Pastor Paul Clerc officiating. Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Mobilisation, 212 West St., Port Colborne, ON L3K 4E3.
