MAY (nee ZOOCHKAN) After a courageous battle with cancer, Doris passed away with her family by her side, on July 8, 2000, at Welland General Hospital. Doris was born in Winnipeg, April 26, 1922, and lived in Mine Centre and later in Rainy River, Ont. Doris moved to Toronto during the war years and worked for a munitions factory. After the war she worked as a switchboard operator for the Royal York Hotel and with Walter Thompson Advertising until her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie May; her parents, Mary amd John Zoochkan and her brother P. O. William Zoochkan, who was killed in action in the Second World War. She is survived by her sister Catherine (Ronald) Findlay, Welland, Ont.; her brother John (Elizabeth) Zoochkan, Winnipeg; step-daughter Karen (Bill) McDonald, Rexdale, Ont.; nieces, Cathy (Stephen) Stewart, Chesterfield, N. H., U.S.A., Yvonne (Brian) Danchuk, Regina, Sask., Donny Zoochkan (Wayne) Wyke, East St. Paul, MB; and one nephew Bill (Irene) Zoochkan, Winnipeg, MB. Memorial Services will be held on July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Glad Tidings Church of God in Fonthill, Ont. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7
