Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD OBEDZINSKI June 6, 1936 - July 7, 2000 With his family by his side, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Edward Obedzinski, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2000, at the Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey, British Columbia. Loving memories are left with his wife, Frances, of 42 years; children, Perry, Ellen (Bernard), Mark (Michelle) grandchildren, Zavier and Severin; sisters, Jean, Nettie (Harold) and brothers, Harry (Margaret) and Stan (Terri). He was predeceased by young brother Carl in 1949; his mother Mary in 1972 and father Walter in 1997. Edward was born on June 6, 1936 in Ledwyn, MB, attended Tarno School and continued his education at the University of Winnipeg. In 1972, Edward, boldly moved his family to British Columbia and found work with the Credit Union. In 1981, he earned his Credit Union Institute Fellows Designation through the University of British Columbia and continued to work for the Credit Union for many more years. In 1988, he became owner/manager of Work Wear World in Gullford Town Centre, retiring in 1996, to spend much of his time vacationing in his motor home with Frances, his family, friends and especially his grandchildren, whose magic brought out the best in him. Funeral Service to be held 1:00 p.m. July 12 at Saint Matthews Roman Catholic Parish, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the B.C. Cancer Society or to the Centre for Integrated Healing: 200-1330 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6H 4A6. Blessed are those who have the courage to dream.
