MARY-JOSEPHINE WEST (DE BRINCAT)
Date of Passing: Jul 14, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY-JOSEPHINE WEST (nee DE BRINCAT) June 14, 2000 after a courageous battle with cancer, our beloved mother Mary-Josephine left this world to join our beloved father Allan Edgar West. Father left us August 14, 1995. What began as a chance meeting at 16 years of age was to become a neverending love story. On July 5, 1947 they married and resided in Winnipeg all their lives except two short years when they lived in Los Angeles. Father became ill in 1988 with Alzheimer disease and our mother cared for him at home for the seven years with unending devotion. Father was the love of her life. Only four months after the death of our father, mother became ill and began her struggle with cancer. Mother and father are being sadly missed by two daughters, Alexs Cameron (Bruce) of Oakville, ON, Shawne West of Winnipeg and one son Matthew of San Francisco; five grandchildren, Gavin, Allana, Amanda Cameron and Scarlett, Nicholas Drescher and their father Norman. Father is survived by one brother and mother is survived by two brothers and one sister. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at a later date. Gone but not forgotten faithful pets, Joey and Allie. May they rest in peace, Together Forever. The family wishes to express thanks to Dr. M. Rubinger at Cancer Care Manitoba as well as all the clinic nurses, clerks and chemotherapy nurses and radiation staff who cared for our mother. Also many thanks to Riverview Health Care Centre 3E staff and the Canadian Cancer Society drivers and office staff. Donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
