ANNE SKARAPAT On July 6, 2000, after a lengthy illness at St. Norbert Nursing Home, Mrs. Anne Skarapat (Solinsky) peacefully passed away at the age of 86. Anne was born in Arborg, MB in 1914 and soon after moved to Winnipeg. After retiring from Johnson Nut Company, Anne enjoyed her leisure time travelling, dancing and playing Bingo with her numerous friends and family. Anne was predeceased by her father Joseph in 1954 and her mother Wasylyna in 1964, and her beloved husband Steve in 1979. Prayers will be said on Thursday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Hespeler and Beatrice Street. Pallbearers will be Don Toffan, Sylvia Toffan, Eddy Toffan, Darlene Kittner, Joe Michalak and Phyllis Michalak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 586-8044.
