She was predeceased by her sisters, Adriene (1979), Helen (June 28, 2000) and her brother-in-law, Dave (1996). Denise is survived by her husband Bill; son Les (Penny) daughter Arlene (Henly) and her four grandchildren, Richard, Roberta, Sydny and Evrett; and her brother Gabriel (Evelyn). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she treasured. Denise was born in Eriksdale, MB on August 8, 1927. She moved to Winnipeg at age 17 and has lived here ever since. She met her husband Bill and they married on June 22, 1951. She loved the outdoors and looked forward to weekend and holiday camping trips during the summer months. Her favourite spot over the years was Falcon Lake. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, boating, berry picking and golfing with family and friends. After retiring from the Beefeater Restaurant in 1989, Denise spent time enjoying her grandchildren, gardening, knitting and loved venturing across the border on many casino trips. The family would like to thank friends and relatives for their kind and caring support during her illness. We also sincerely appreciate the help and most caring support from all the nursing staff. Thank you all very sincerely. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15 at 12:30 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with viewing prior to the service. The pallbearers will be Brian, Larry and Glen Marmonier, Doug Cook, Henly Pheifer, and Richard Forbes; and honorary pallbearer will be Evrett Pheifer.
