DENNIS SUMNER July 20, 1958 - July 7, 2000 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Sumner of Winnipeg, formerly of Fairford, MB, at the age of 41 years. Dennis is survived by his mother Janet Sumner; his sisters, Sharon (Maurice) Sumner and Sheila (Bruce) Wiley; his brothers, Russell (Emma) and Gary (Caroline) his uncles, Harry, John, Walter and Charlie; his aunties, Anna, Helen and Viola; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his grandparents, Betsy Woodford and Martha Bruce; his father David; and by his infant brothers, Walter and Glen. Dennis lived most of his life in Fairford and he worked at many construction jobs. He also fished and was a hired man for many people who needed a good, dependable man at any job. Dennis was a hard worker and was willing to work for anyone who needed help. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Police Constables, Greg McGregor and Jim Ahay for their help and concern. Also the Pinaymootang First Nation Chief and Council and members for their love and support during our loss. A wake service will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford Band Hall, Fairford, MB, with Pastor Donald Gould and Jim Anderson officiating.
