HELEN JEAN COLLISCHON (POOLE) (nee PUXTY) Jean was born April 16, 1919 and lived in St. Vital until she married her first husband, Samuel Poole, in 1954. From this marriage they had one daughter, Susan. Jean married Leslie Collischon in 1991. Jean is survived by her husband Les; her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Larry Moniuk of Anola, MB; stepdaughters, Irene (Paul) Dallain in Quebec, Dorothy (Howard) Black in Winnipeg and Frances (Hugh) McDermid in British Columbia. Also seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She has one cousin Barbara (David) in England. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Edith, her husband Sam (1987), aunts and uncles, and two grandchildren. Jean studied voice and piano at the Shinn Conservatory of Music and was able to use her talents in church choirs (particularly St. Mary Magdalene in St. Vital), the Senior Citizen Choir of Winnipeg and the Light Opera Company of Winnipeg. She sang solo at her daughter and step-daughters weddings. Jean had worked at Eatons and Deer Lodge Centre. She lived with Sam in Lions Manor from 1978 and while there was very involved on the residents council and other volunteer work. After Sams death she met Les at Lions Manor and they moved to Fort Garry Place when they were married in December, 1991. Jean continued doing volunteer work at Lions Manor for awhile and also at her new residence. She loved both her husbands, Sam and Les. She also loved her home and all the family of stepdaughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially Dorothy who was so good to her. She often felt she didnt see enough of them or do enough, but they were always on her mind. God keep them well, especially my Susan and Larry. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
