HERB SHIELLS Peacefully on July 10, 2000, Herb Shiells passed away at Concordia Place. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Margaret; one daughter Bonnie (Lorne) Baker; grandsons, Dale (Kim), Ian (Diane) and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Marc, Luc and Haley; one sister Lorne (Joe) brothers, Norval (Ethel) and Dennis and sister-in-law Edie; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, one son Brett; sister Marion and brother Gilbert. Herb served overseas with the 5th Division (R.C.A.S.C.) from 1941 - 1945. Upon returning home he worked for Canada Cement until his retirement. Herb was a member and past master of Manitowapt Masonic Lodge and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 54 years. Herb enjoyed many years of baseball, fishing and hunting. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14 in the Steep Rock Hall. Interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of the Misericordia Hospital and Concordia Place for their loving care. Arnason Funeral Service, Ashern, in care of arrangements.
