PHYLLES E. WOTTON Born April 10, 1926 in Minneapolis, Phylles Shoden was an office manager at North American Life and Casualty in Minneapolis before being wooed to Canada by her husband, Les Wotton. She took on her new role as wife, homemaker and mother to four and then five children with enthusiasm and efficiency. Phylles was an involved, longtime member of Niakwa Golf and Country Club, becoming President of the Ladies Section in 1971, and then had a distinguished term as President of Manitoba Ladies Golf Association in 1982. She joined the Rolling Green Country Club on returning to Minneapolis. She was an avid, very good bridge player. She was active in the American Womens Club of Manitoba, and with both the Winnipeg and Minneapolis Symphony Orchestras Volunteer Associations. She enjoyed meeting people of many cultures and travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe and Africa. Phylles is fondly remembered by brother John O. Shoden of Minneapolis; children, Elizabeth Wotton, Alan Wotton, Amina Mustapha, all of Winnipeg, Kay Wotton of Dawson Creek, BC, and Lorne Wotton of Calgary; grandchildren, Neil, Tracey, Gary, Michael and Sean Wotton and Khadija, Hassan, Husaini and Aisha Ellis; daughters-in-law, Lois and Deborah Wotton; cousins, Jack Fisher and Robert Manke, and her many other family members and friends. Funeral service Saturday, July 15, 10:00 a.m. at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 7300 42nd Ave. No., New Hope, MN. Interment Saturday 1:00 p.m. Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Princeton, MN. Visitation Friday July 14, 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service. GILL BROTHERS 763-531-1777
