Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA MAKSIMCHUK (BALIANT) Suddenly on Sunday, July 9, 2000 at the family farm in Meleb, Man. Stella is survived by her husband William; daughters, Shelley (Rob) Henn and grandchild Vanessa of Winnipeg, Man., Sheila (Jim) Martin and grandchildren, Kyle and Stacey of Arborg, Man.; brother Tony Baliant of Gunton; brother Stan (Irene) Baliant and their children, Jennifer and Michelle of Ponoka, Alta. She was predeceased by her father Peter (1964) her mother Anne (1996) mother-in-law Anne (1988) and father-in-law Fred (1951). Stella was born in Teulon on March 8, 1941. Stella attended school in Meleb and Gunton. Stella and Bill were married on September 5, 1959. They worked in Winnipeg until 1964 when they returned to Bills family farm to carry on cattle farming. Stella loved farming and working with cattle. She was well known for her veterinary skills. Stella and Bill were equal partners in their farming endeavours. Stella was always willing to help her friends and neighbours with any task none too big or too small. Stella was very much involved in the voluntary work of the MPC Park at Meleb. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel in Arborg. Funeral service will be held at the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Meleb at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 13. Rev. Deacon P. Chorney will officiate with interment in the Meleb Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rob Henn, Jim Martin, Larry Maksimchuk, Allan Sigurdson, Bill Chuckry and Zenon Rosolowich. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg.
