BARBARA DIANE HODGINS It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara Hodgins at the age of 76 on July 10, 2000 at Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Les, Barb leaves memories that will be cherished by her daughter Wendy; son-in-law George; granddaughter Tracey; grandson Ryan; great-granddaughter Britany; also her son Wayne; daughter-in-law Wendy; grandson Brad and many family members still residing in Canada and England. Born in Wrothan, Kent, England, Barb as a war bride, came to Winnipeg to be with her husband, after the Second World War. Barb enjoyed being with family and had many accomplished hobbies such as needlepoint and knitting. She also enjoyed many hours of reading, doing word search, going to Bingo and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Padre Stan Millar officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Many thanks are extended to Dr. Harris and the Health Care Team at Grace Hospital, for looking after our mom. Your care and compassion was and is most appreciated. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, our family would like donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, R3C 2B7.
