HELEN TERESA MOSKWA Peacefully on July 10, 2000, following a lengthy illness Helen Moskwa, beloved wife of Frank Moskwa, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Frank and loving children, Eileen Poznikoff, Roy Schreyer (Frieda) and Richard (Darlene) Moskwa; seven grandchildren, Gary, Judy, Tammy, Bradley, Shelley, Kim and Jeff; as well as five great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers; her three sisters and by her son-in-law Michael Poznikoff. Helen and Frank had resided in Winnipeg, then moved to British Columbia for 10 years where Helen particularly enjoyed the mountains. They returned to Winnipeg in 1953 and have resided in Transcona since 1958. Helen lovingly cared for her home and family. She loved gardening and also enjoyed various crafts. She was active in the Senior Citizens Club and had also been a member of the Eagles. Prayers will be offered Thursday evening (tonight) at 7:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Funeral service to be conducted Friday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. also at the chapel with Deacon Don Hafichuk officiating. Burial in the family plot Transcona Cemetery. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
