Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD BRIAN SAEDAL Peacefully with his family at his side, Leonard passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2000 in the Grace Hospital at the age of 73 years. Leonard leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years Joan (Kelly) twin daughters, Valerie (John) and Vivienne (Barry) two sons, Derrick (Mary) and Calvin (Wendy) three grandchildren, Bibiana, Scott and Katelynn; also two sisters, Unner Sneddon and Edda (Ken Lee) and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Leonard was predeceased by daughter Beverly; sisters, Barbara, Runa, Alda and Mae and brother Bob. Leonard had a long and a distinguished career in the electrical field. After 11 years as a journeyman electrician in the private sector, he joined the City of Winnipeg in 1959. Starting as a regional electrical inspector, and then later after 35 years of proud service, retired as the Chief Electrical Inspector. Through his career as an Electrical Inspector, he also enjoyed his time teaching Electrical Code at Red River Community College. He was appointed to serve as a member of the Department of Labour Electrical Licensing Board. He represented the City of Winnipeg by sitting on committees of various sections in the Canadian Electrical Code. He was an active member of the Masonic Order, and served a Master of Fort Osborne Lodge. It was as a mason where he developed many long lasting friendships. He was also a member of the Khartum Shrine. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 14 at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor Street.
