NORMAN BALDOCK It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Baldock, at the age of 77 years at Portage Lions Manor on Tuesday, July 11, 2000. He will be sadly missed by his wife Jean of 47 years; his children, Ernest, Donald of Reaburn, Russell and Sue of Winnipeg and Donna and Bryan Jones of Warren; his grandchildren, Nolan, Jeri-Lee and Myles Jones of Warren; brother of Mabel Lefurgey, Edith Palmerton, Violet and Bill Klotz, Florence and Fred Glass, Grace and Elmer and Marguerite and Roy Kilback and Bertha Baldock; brother-in-law of Andy and Anne Melnyk, Jean Melnyk, Joyce Melnyk, Sophie Firman, Olga and Joe Klym, Rosie and John Kit, Natyna Family and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents of Sedley, SK; one brother Ernest; two sisters, Jean Woits and Lily Martin. He farmed in the Marquette-Reaburn area. Norman was a councillor for the R.M. of Woodlands for 21 years and was a member of the Meadow Lea Church. Norman has gone to heaven, so he can fly over and watch over his grandchildren now. The family wishes to thank "Skyview-Staff" for their excellent care over the last two months. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 14 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15 at the Meadow Lea Hall. Bev Ward, minister of the Warren/Meadow Lea United Churches will officiate. Interment will follow in the Meadow Lea Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Oliver, Kathy Hallow, Nellie and Noel Carriere, Roy Kilback and Bill Klotz. Active pallbearers will be his nephews. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Meadow Lea United Church. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
