ROSEMARY VICTORIA HENRICKSON (nee HAMILTON) April 23, 1934 - July 12, 2000 After a courageous battle with cancer, Rosemary leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her husband and best friend of 47 years, Evert; her daughters, Rhonda Henrickson, Alyce Gow (Dan Goertzen) stepsons, Rick (Dolly) Henrickson, Randy (Cindy) Henrickson; granddaughters, Jaime Hyatt and Melissa Gow; step-grandchildren, Danny and Crystal Henrickson; great-granddaughter Dallas Hyatt; sisters, Margaret Thompson and Helen (Len) Ricci and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, Vern and Mary Rose Hamilton; sisters, Madeline Hamilton, Verene Peterson (Ross) brother Joe (Fran) Hamilton; brother-in-law Victor Thompson and son-in-law Bob Gow. She was born and raised in Rainy River, Ont. She met her future husband in the winter of 1953. Rosemary and Evert settled in Winnipeg where she worked for Canada Safeway for many years, eventually settling and building together their log home on the Rainy River. After retirement they enjoyed travelling, playing golf and spending their winters in Weslaco, Texas. Rosemary was an elegant and beautiful lady who loved life and was cherished by all who knew her. Prayers will be held on Friday, July 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church in Rainy River with visitation until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church in Rainy River, Ont. with Father James Panikulam officiating. Cremation has taken place. The honorary pallbearers were Jaime Hyatt, Melissa Gow, Chris Armstrong, Vicky Whalen, Laurel Perry, Corey Dyck and Karen Mykytyn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in care of Sophie Arpin, P.O. Box 551, Rainy River, Ont., P0W 1L0.
