Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB SCOTT It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jacob Scott, age 83 years, on July 11, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital after a prolonged illness. Jacob was born at Jackhead on October 11, 1916. He was a commercial fisherman, trapper and also worked for Manitoba Hydro. He was a school board member, a foreman with forestry, and a pulp cutter. Jacob helped in raising of some of his grandchildren, especially Brian Dunsford. Jacob leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, five daughters, Mary Ann, Josephine (Alex), Anna, Cecilia (John) and Doreen; three sons, William, Peter and Wallace; 48 grandchildren; 121 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister Nora of Hollow Water; brothers, Wilson and Peter of Winnipeg, Archie Scott of Grand Rapids; and half-sister Isabella Cook of Bloodvein. He was predeceased by his wife Dora in 1993 and three sons, Isaac (1939), Fabian (1988) and Freddy (1989). Prayers will be said on Wednesday, July 12 at 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 13 at 8:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 11:00 a.m. also at the chapel. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pat Hamilton, Edwin Scott, Marcel Scott, Larry Scott, Mark Young, Brian Dunsford. The family would like to extend their thanks to the St. Boniface Hospital staff on A5 South and also a special thank you to Dr. McDougall and his homemaker Evelyn Green in Bloodvein.
