PERCY FREDERICK DAVIDSON Passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at the age of 84 years, Percy Frederick Davidson of Cypress River, Man. Percy leaves to mourn his passing, his brothers, Morley and Alice of Glenboro, Harley and Fjola of Pinawa; sisters, Florence Sholdice of Cypress River, Ada Bradford of Brandon, Verna and John Edmondson of Beulah, Man., Betty and Harry Ladobruk of Winnipeg, Vivian and Al Gray of Sechelt, B.C., Enid Aldcroft of Carman; sisters-in-law, Dolphine Davidson, Emma Davidson; brother-in-law John Nordman and by numerous nieces and nephews. Percy was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Davidson; brothers, Herman and Preston; a sister Iris Nordman, and by brothers-in-law, Duncan Sholdice, Wendall Bradford and Willam Aldcroft. Percy was born February 12, 1916, the third oldest in a family of five boys and seven girls. He received his education at Glencove School and lived his entire life in the Cypress River area. When his father passed away in 1943, Percy not only took over the farm for his mother, but also helped look after six younger brothers and sisters. Percy was a hard working and successful farmer. Later in life, Percy retired from the farm and moved into Cypress River. He enjoyed family gatherings and long drives in the country. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glencoe Cemetery, Cypress River with Rev. Alan Armstrong officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Edmondson, Ralph Sholdice, Brian Sholdice, Allan Davidson, Felix Desrochers and Murray Jones. All those attending the service are considered honorary pallbearers.
