MARGARET THERESA McPHERSON (nee NEUMANN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret McPherson of Carman, Man. (formerly of Winnipeg) on July 12, 2000 at the age of 63 following a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by Roderick, her husband of 41 years; her children, Rose-Marie, John of Calgary, Fred (Shelly) her grandchildren, Roddy, Tammy, Ryan and Evan. Also her very special friend and sister-in-law Mae Dennison of Carman. She also leaves to mourn her sister Betty (Abe) of Carman; her brothers, Joe (Maggie) of Roseisle, Edward (Dean) of Winnipeg and Nick (Justine) of Stoney Mountain; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Eva; sister Cecilia; and brothers, Tony, Fred, Art, Ken, Vic and Louie. Margaret retired in 1997 from the Government of Manitoba Land Titles Office were she was employed as a blue print machine operator. She enjoyed many summers at the Stonewall Quarry campground and Miami Beach campground where they camped before moving to Carman in May of 1999. Funeral mass will be held from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (35 1st St. NW) in Carman, on Monday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Martin Houston officiating. A lunch will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Carman Hospital Auxillary, Box 1025, Carman, MB R0G 0J0. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the dedicated staff of the Carman Memorial Hospital for all the care and compassion given to Margaret during her battle with cancer.
