ELSIE ALTMAN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Grandmother, Elsie Altman, aged 83 years, on Wednesday July 12, 2000 at the Beausejour Hospital, after a courageous struggle with cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Shirley (Carl) Plohman of Glenboro, Man. and Judy (Grant) Plohman of Beausejour, Man; her grandchildren, Crystal Plohman of Nashville, Tenn., James and Jason Plohman of Winnipeg, Man., Neil Plohman of Beausejour; her brother Albert Bauch of Moosehorn, Man; her sisters Helen Hedquist of Victoria, B.C., Wanda Bakk of Nipigon, Ont.; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Reinhard; her parents, Ferdinand and Julianna Bauch; her brother Ben Bauch; and her sisters, Selma Hamlyn, Lydia Skipper and Alma Krempin. Mom placed her family above all else. She was the most loving and caring mom and grandma. Her grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life and they loved her dearly. At Moms request, cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will be held. The family would like to thank the nurses at the Beausejour Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion. God looked upon His garden And found an empty space Then He looked down upon the Earth And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest Gods garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best. God saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb He closed your weary eyes And whispered, "Peace to Thine." A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you To Gods garden, your new home. Sobering Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, in care of arrangements.
