EILEEN AGNES ANN ADAM (nee BULLIED) Suddenly, with her loving husband Lorne by her side, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday July 4, 2000, Mrs. Eileen Adam of Holland, MB passed away at the age of 46 years. Beside her husband Lorne, she also leaves to mourn three sons, Kerry and Crystal of Winnipeg, Cory and Christine of Alberta, and Carl of Brandon; one granddaughter Desiree; six sisters, Gay and Harold Rendall, Judy and Arnold Clark, Marjorie Osachak, Jane Bayford, Josephine and Tom Sharkey, Elsie and Sidney Ball; three brothers, Wilbert Bullied, Bill and Donna Bullied, and Larry Bullied. She also leaves to mourn her passing numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, school children, and minor athletes. She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Ruby Bullied; her father-in-law Lucien Adam; and by one niece Bambi Bullied. Eileen was excited about her new upcoming grandchild, who was born on the day of her funeral. His name is Quinton Reed Adam, born to Cory and Christine. Eileen and Lorne were married on September 23, 1972. They moved from Brandon to Holland in 1974 and farmed for 26 years. Eileen and Lorne did most things together, from organizing and watching their sons hockey games, to running the rink with endless hours of community work. Each of their three sons brought them joy and pride in their accomplishments: Kerry through achieving his journeyman mechanics license at Park Pontiac in Winnipeg; Cory, through his ability to leave home, start a new life in Alberta and working hard in the oil industry; and Carl, his Pembina Valley Hawks AAA Midget Championship, his high school graduation and completion of three years university. Eileen touched many lives through her work in education with the students of Ste. Marie School in Bruxelles. She was especially proud of any academic advancements they made because they had worked together. She worked many tireless hours to make our small piece of the world a better place for our children. Eileen was the heart and backbone of our school, our rink, and our community. Her virtues and her contributions that we remember will have a personal meaning in our own lives. By sharing our remembrance we can share the sense of a life well lived, a time on earth well spent and a heritage of lasting meaning. Eileens spirit will stay with us always in our souls as we remember the way she left her mark on all of our lives. God bless you, rest in peace dear Eileen. Funeral services were held in the Holland Memorial Hall on Friday July 7 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Alan Armstrong officiating, followed by cremation.
