MURRAY E. PARTRIDGE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Murray E. Partridge, on July 14, 2000, at the age of 77. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Fran; daughter Katherine (Dick) Wyckoff; son Robert (Cecile) daughter Nancy (Brian) Gariepy; son Philip; daughter Linda (special friend Larry) and daughter Jane (Lindsay) Vanstone; six grandchildren, Richard and Elizabeth Wyckoff, Amy and Michael Partridge, Alaina Partridge and Rena Vanstone; sister Joyce Gorrell and numerous nieces and nephews. Murray enlisted in the Air Force in 1942 as an aircraft mechanic, married Fran in 1945 and returned to help his father on the family farm in Hamiota. Some years later he worked for Allis Chalmers Farm Machinery, formed his own mobile home manufacturing business, and spent the last eleven years before retirement with Westburne Plumbing and Heating. Murray enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and employing his mechanical skills and freely shared these talents with his children. Murray maintained loving relationships with all his grandchildren and shared a special bond with his granddaughter Alaina. Murray was an astute observer of life, was widely read and possessed a broad knowledge of many and varied subjects. In later years he enjoyed bowling, golf, hockey and reading. A memorial service will be held at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, followed by a reception. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens to be attended by immediate family.
