JOSEPH TAKACS Peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2000 Joseph Takacs passed away at the Health Sciences Centre with his family at his side at the age of 73. Joe will be remembered by his wife Bruna and daughter Lily; nephew Geza and Wendy; his children Mark and Ryan; brother-in-law Andrew and Julie; nephews, George and Tanya, Frances and Ross and their children. Joe was predeceased by his parents and three sisters. Joe was fond of flowers, long walks, and travelling. He enjoyed his many years of employment with Manitoba Hydro and even after retirement returned for visits. They spent several years in Ponemah at the cottage, which he loved. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre A4 and H4 and Dr. Warren, Dr. Orr, and Dr. Corbett for all their care and support, the VON and all Home Care workers for your compassionate care.
