JACK MITCHELL On Friday, July 14, 2000 at the Pine Falls Hospital, Pine Falls, Man., Jack Mitchell aged 78 years beloved husband of Jean Mitchell of Pine Falls, Man. Besides his loving wife Jean, he leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Marjorie McLimont (Ross) of Toronto, Ont. Marina Tait (Neal) of Ottawa, Ont. As well as grandchildren, Susan and Stephen and a brother Robert Mitchell of Ancaster, Ont. Jack was predeceased by his brother Alvin and a son in infancy. Jack worked for 35 years for Abitibi Price in Iroquois Falls, Thunder Bay and Pine Falls before retiring in 1981. He and Jean would winter in Arizona and treasured their time together as "Snowbirds". Jack was active during wartime and was one of the first Para-Troopers that came out of Ft. Benning. Cremation has taken place and Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. from the Pine Falls United Church, Pine Falls, Man. with J.W. Whitford officiating. His cremated remains will be interred at a later date in Iroquois Falls. If friends so desire Memorial Donations in Jacks memory may be made to the Pine Falls United Church Memorial Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man.
