LORENA MARIE ANDERSON It is with deepest sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Lorena Anderson, aged 63 years, of Grand Marais, MB, beloved wife of Raymond, on July 12, 2000. Besides her husband she leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Wayne, Randal (Shirley) and Cory (Roberta) four daughters, Sheila (Wayne), Kerri (Garth), Shannon (Walter) and Melanie; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Leonard, Gerry and Denny; three sisters, Eileen, Judy and Coreen and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a son Darrell; brothers, Glen, William and John and her mother Ada Conway. Lorena was born on July 17, 1936 and had lived all her life in Grand Marais. She married Raymond in 1956 and together they raised eight children. Lorena was known as "Maw" not only to her children but to all the kids in the community. She enjoyed gardening and was active in sports, particularly baseball and curling. A memorial service will be held for her and her father George Conway, who died two days after she did at the age of 99 years, on Tuesday July 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. A private interment will follow at a later date. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
