During his 45 year career, he developed many friendships with union brothers, especially Freddie Boychuk. His dedication to his trade earned him his 35 year ring which he wore with pride. He was a lifetime member of Monte Casino #178, serving in many capacities as the Club required. He liked to "clown around" at annual summer picnics and helped "Santa" at Christmas time for many years. He was privileged to be a part of the committee that built a war memorial which was dedicated at the steps of the legion. He was a member of the "Color Party" serving as Flagbearer at many events around town. He is predeceased by both parents, Olena and Alex; son Patrick; brothers, Joe and Peter and Doris.
