GEORGINA VAN DE WEGHE (nee Vansteenkistle) It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mom and grandma at the St. Boniface General Hospital in her 87th year on Friday, July 14, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband John; grandson Randy Vallaey; brother-in-law Joe and by her sister-in-law Lil. Georgina will be remembered by her daughters, Margaret (Bill) Payjack, Louise (Jules) Vallaey; son Marcel (Brenda) nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister Yvonne; brother Art and by numerous nieces, nephews and relatives in Belgium. Mom was born at Moorslede, Belgium on January 9, 1913. She was a homemaker; enjoyed her time with her family and spent many hours with her needlework. The family has many treasured pieces of this, her favourite pastime. The family would like to extend their grateful appreciation to the staff of the Fifth Floor, St. Boniface Hospital. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc (corner of Dubuc and Traverse), with Rev. Fr. James Gray presiding. Private interment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Georginas name may be made to a charity of ones choice.
