ELEANOR RUSK At the age of 84 years young, Eleanor Rusk was reunited with her loved ones on July 16, 2000. To welcome her in Heaven: her parents, Richard and Laura Rusk; sister Beth Willis, and brother Garnett Rusk. Left to celebrate her life: sister Jean Minke of White Rock, B.C.; sister-in-law Irene Rusk of Calgary, Alta.; niece Jean (Roger) Kangas of Winnipeg; nephews, Richard (Rose) Rusk of Vancouver, B.C. and Brent Rusk of Calgary; great nieces and nephews, Ryan Hart, Andrew Rusk, Shannon and Ashley Rusk, and her long-time friend of 53 years, Mary Jane (Hammy) Hamilton of Winnipeg. Eleanor graduated from the Grace Hospital School of Nursing in 1938. She retired after 30 years as the Head Nurse of Labour and Delivery at Grace Hospital. Eleanor was a long-time member of Young United Church. Thank you to Dr. Jamie Boyd and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for the personal care and understanding extended to Eleanor and family. Celebrate the life of Eleanor with us on Wednesday, July 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Man.
