(FRED) FRITZ ARTHUR DAHLKE 1909 - 2000 Peacefully, in the early morning of July 17, 2000, at age 90, our beloved husband, father and Opa passed away at Oakview Personal Care Home. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Frieda. Also by his children, Elsie, Helga (John) and Gerry (Martine), all of Winnipeg. His grandson Werner (Charlene) of Ottawa, granddaughter Rita, and grandson Paul of Winnipeg. He also leaves to mourn his passing two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Kristina of Ottawa. Despite a sometimes difficult life, Opa was an industrious man who always had a smile on his face. He took particular delight in good times with his family and especially doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers on the second floor of the Oakview Personal Care Home for the care and compassion they gave to Opa. It was much appreciated. The memorial service is to be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on July 21 at 10:00 a.m. A coffee reception will be held afterwards. Flowers are gratefully declined.
