ALBERT THERRIEN (Chief) After a brief illness, Albert died at the St. Boniface Hospital on Monday afternoon, July 17, 2000 at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his sisters, Rita (Val Leclerc) of Terrace, B.C., Agathe (Ross Humphreys) of Toronto and a brother Gerald (Susan) of Saskatoon, as well as many nieces and nephews. Albert will also be dearly remembered by his special family, Henri and Suzanne, Yves, Chantal, Stephane, Yvan, Melanie and Mireille Lagasse. Many friends will miss his unique personality either full of laughter or deeply involved in seriously debating issues. Albert has been involved in many community projects and in the past years, has taken very seriously his participation in the local Metis Federation. Prayer service for Albert will be held at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church in St. Adolphe, Man. on Thursday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Father Pierre Dumaine at 7:30 p.m. Interment of Alberts cremated remains will take place in the Parish Cemetery following the Mass. Out of respect for Alberts wishes, there will be no social gathering following the service. We who frequently visited Albert would like to offer our sincere thanks to the nursing, medical and pastoral care staff involved in Alberts care. We deeply appreciated the wonderful and compassionate services at all levels of the Palliative Care Unit. Those wishing to do so may make a donation in Alberts memory to the Palliative Care Ward of the St. Boniface General Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, R2H 2A6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
