ANNA ELISABETH SCHMIDT (nee Kaltenberger) The family of Anna Elisabeth Schmidt, nee Kaltenberger sadly announce the peaceful passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on July 17, 2000 at the age of 84 years. Left to mourn are son Barry (Darlene) daughter Judith (Denis) Meier, daughter Susan; grandchildren, Laurel Schmidt (Art), Lisa (Barry) Lane, Matthew (Carla) Meier, Morgan Meier and five cherished great-grandchildren Tanner and Carly Lane, Maddison, Jacob and Raven Meier. Anna is also survived by sisters-in-law Joyce Kaltenberger and Anne Schmidt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Max of 60 years, on May 22, 1997, her parents Frederick and Maria, six sisters and two brothers. Anna was born December 30, 1915 in Rosenberg, Man. Mum was well known for her culinary and entertaining skills. No one ever left Mums house hungry. She was highly regarded by all who knew her for her kind and generous nature. A Service to celebrate Annas life will take place on Thursday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion Street. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital ICU and 5A South, as well as the nurses and staff of 2 East at Riverview Health Centre, especially Alice, Eleanor, Conchita and Barbara. Your care and passion to our Mom and our family will not be forgotten. We would also like to thank all Mums neighbours and friends who have been so caring and supportive.
