CLARA BRUCE (REUTHER) Peacefully on July 17, 2000, Mom left us after a brief illness. Mom was born on February 6, 1915 in Rosenberg, Man., to Michael and Viena Reuther, one of ten children. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Dave; daughter Barbara and granddaughter Tiffaney Amell; brothers, Fred, Ernie, and Percy Reuther; and sisters, Esther Duguid and Dorothy Storey. Mom is survived by her sons, Jim (Jane), George (Ellen), and Bob (Joanne) Bruce; daughters Bev (Jack) Watson, Diana (Farid) Habib, Pat (Jerry) Perrault; and son-in-law Abe Peters. Sisters, Peggy, Dolores, Mamie and Joan; sisters-in-law, Mary and Lottie; grandchildren, Chris, Ross, Katherine, Clifford, Donna, Lee Lisa, Heather and Kevin; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a proud member of Brooklands and Weston Legion No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary and was always willing to lend a hand when one was needed. She cooked many a turkey for the Old-timers Christmas Party and baked butter tarts and buns for the teas. Mom was an avid gardener and especially liked to grow roses. Another hobby of Moms was to collect spoons on her vacations with Dad. She also enjoyed crocheting, bowling playing bingo and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Mom loved to be surrounded by her family and was very proud of her children and their families. For the last two and a half years Mom had resided at St. Josephs Residence. We cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness and care they showed Mom and the compassion they have shown the family. The family would especially like to thank Bev at St. Josephs for her thoughtfulness and her compassion. Visitation will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at Bardal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Interment Brookside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Mom may be made to the Alzheimer Society. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
