Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL BILKIEVICZ Peacefully, in her home, Pearl Bilkievicz passed away on July 14, 2000 at the age of 82 years. She leaves to mourn her son Joseph Julius Bilkievicz of Winnipeg; sisters, Anne Luchka of Dryden, Ont., Olga Pisco of Thunder Bay, Ont. and Stella Kalapaca of Grand Valley, Ont. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Kasimir Bilkievicz in March, 1959; parents Nicholas and Anna Barbolick; sisters, Mary Paulyshyn, Rose Kulczycki; brothers, John Barbolick and Bill Barbolick. Pearl was born at Hazelglen, Man. on September 11, 1917. In 1946, she married Kasimir Bilkievicz and together they lived in Winnipeg. She also owned and operated the Blue Boy Cafe and after selling the family business she worked at Ferns Lunch for her late brother, John Barbolick. Her hobbies were gardening, bingo and making perogies. Prayers will be said on Thursday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Avenue with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Sitar, John Sitar, William Luchka, Kelly Rudkevitch, Mernie Paulyshyn and Dave Siddley. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Pearls memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
