Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILDA ROBERTA (ANDERSON) CARLSON With sorrow we announce the sudden passing on July 11, 2000 of Mrs. Wilda Carlson of Erickson, MB, beloved wife of Mr. C.V. Carlson. Wilda was born in Boissevain, MB on September 15, 1916, third daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J.B. Anderson. She was predeceased by her parents and her two elder sisters. She is survived by her loving husband Kelly Carlson of Erickson; her sister Shirley Goodman of Winnipeg and Flin Flon; her brother John Anderson of Sydney, BC; her sister-in-law Effie Moffat of Winnipeg and several nieces and nephews. Wilda grew up in several towns in Manitoba. After high school, she took training. She taught for several years at Otter Lake School and Erickson Collegiate. She studied by correspondence and summer schools at the University of Manitoba receiving her B.A. Degree. In 1941 she married Kelly Carlson. They farmed in the Erickson district for many years, then retired to their home in Erickson. Wilda was active in her community. She was always interested in young people and their education. Several years ago she and Kelly set up a scholarship for deserving students of the Erickson Collegiate Institute. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church where Kelly sang in the choir for 75 years. She was close to her nieces and nephews and the young people of Erickson. Funeral service was held at the Erickson Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lanny Knutson officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
