AUGUST JOSEPH DUCHARME (GUS) October 29, 1931 - July 19, 2000 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear brother and uncle on Wednesday surrounded by his family. Gus is survived by his sisters, Roseanna Leost (Donat) who looked after him all of his life, and Yvette (Manuel) brothers, Moses Ducharme of St. Laurent, Man., Gilbert Ducharme (Anne) of Mission, B.C., George Ducharme (Camelia) of Lorette, Man., Barney Ducharme (Esther), John Ducharme (Edna) and Edgar Ducharme (Roseanna) of Winnipeg; numerous loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a special niece Elise Jarmuske. Gus worked at Feed-Rite and enjoyed fishing with his brothers. Gus was predeceased by his parents Joe and Anne Ducharme; stepmother Alice Ducharme; nephews, Lloyd Leost and Jerry Ducharme; brothers, Cyril and Ernie Ducharme and niece Elaine Ducharme. A very special "Thank-You" to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home. Prayers will be said on Friday, July 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church, St. Laurent, Man., with viewing one half hour before service. Cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be nieces, Bernice Carriere, Denise McCaughan, Louise Leost, Muriel Lamy, Gisele Lamy and Rachelle Leost, Elise Jarmuske and Holly Leost. Honorary Pallbearers are his nephews, Norbert, Randy, Jamie, James, Crockett, Mark and Roger Ducharme. Flowers gratefully declined; donations may be made in Guss memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, Man., R3E 9Z9. "You will be deeply missed, youre in Gods care now."
