BRIAN JOHN ANTHONY On July 18, 2000, after a brief illness, Brian John Anthony passed away at the age of 61. He is survived by his soul mate, Sheilah Laking; his brothers, Don and wife Joyce, Lenard and twin brother Stan and wife Jean from Calgary. Uncle Brian is also remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families, plus numerous friends, especially Al and Ed. Brian was born in Winnipeg and lived in Calgary for 17 years before returning to Winnipeg in 1980. He owned a condo in Florida for many years and enjoyed many autumn vacations there. A printer by trade, he enjoyed golf, collected limited edition art and took pride in his semi-retirement job of maintaining the property at his condominium home. We would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care they provided to him. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24 in the chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Mint). Viewing will commence a half hour prior to the service. A gathering of family and friends will follow in Glen Lawns Reception Centre. Interment will take place at Garry Memorial Park, McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, remembrances of Brian may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Manitoba Head Injury Association or the charity of your choice.
