Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE EDNA MACDONALD June 3, 1908 - July 19, 2000 Following a brief illness it is with deep regret we announce the passing of our dear mother, Irene Edna Macdonald, at Victoria Hospital at age 92. Irene was born in Sanford, Man., where she grew up and was educated. She married Lindsay Macdonald and they lived in Sanford until 1958 when they moved to Winnipeg. Irene was predeceased by her husband Lindsay in 1979, her parents, Albert and Frances Hall, five brothers, four sisters and her son-in-law Jim McDonald. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her children, Dianne McKinnon (Paul) of Vancouver, Sheila McDonald of Vancouver, Claudia Woker (Glen) of St.Paul, MN, Donna Couke of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and her sister Jean Picken of Winnipeg as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and remained involved in all her familys activities. She brought dignity and grace to our lives which we will all cherish. She enjoyed many hours pursuing her creative interests in sewing, knitting and painting. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, July 22, in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8, or a charity of your choice.
