Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ALICE ROBERTSON Peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at the Victoria General Hospital, Mary Alice Robertson, formerly of Flin Flon. The late Miss Robertson was born on August 22, 1914, at McAuley, Man., the daughter of Alice (Christina) Sheane and John George Robertson. She received her education in Virden, attended Brandon College and graduated from The Manitoba Normal School. Miss Robertson taught in McAuley, Carberry, Dauphin and Flin Flon. She was a pioneer special education teacher and she belonged to the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and other professional organizations. Miss Robertson was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club and served as provincial president. She served as a Girl Guide leader for many years and more recently she served as a volunteer at Agape and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed travel, bowling, curling, golf and duplicate bridge. Her extensive research on family history is a gift she leaves to her loved ones. Miss Robertson was predeceased by her parents and by her brother D. Melvin Robertson and his wife Alys. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother J. Allan Robertson and his wife Ruth of Winnipeg; six nieces and two nephews; seventeen grand-nieces and nephews and six great-grand-nieces and nephews. Aunty Alice was looking forward to introducing a third generation to the joys of Rainbow Stage and family picnics in Kildonan Park. Mary Alice Robertson was an active member of Westminster United Church. A memorial service will be held in Westminster United Church (in the chapel, please use side entrance) on Monday, July 24, at 1:30 p.m. with Rose Ferries officiating.
