Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERA B. HALIPCHUK Peacefully on July 19, 2000, at the age of 92, our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away at the Holy Family Nursing Home. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Lena; her daughter Alice (Peter Lemecha) her much loved grandsons, Bernie, Barry (Brenda), Brian (Karin), Darryl (Karen) and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel; her daughter Stella; her parents, Helen and Dmytro; sisters, Mary, Annie, Nellie, Dora; and her brother Nick. Vera worked at Eatons in the Grill Room and later joined the family restaurant business - Dannys and Raphaels - where she worked until her retirement in 1968. She was a skilled seamstress and loved to crochet and garden. She enjoyed her retirement and travelled to many places as far away as Hong Kong, Europe and many winter sun spots. She was a pioneer member of the Holy Eucharist Parish. Prayers will be said on Sunday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. A mass to celebrate her life will be said on Monday, July 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe and Watt, with Rt. Rev. Mitrat G. Oucharyk officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice or the Holy Family Building Fund.
