OLGA BERNICE TRUTHWAITE Peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2000, Olga Bernice Truthwaite (nee Stevenson) of Hodgson, MB, passed away at the age of 59 years. Olga will be lovingly remembered by her husband Fred; sons, Ernest, Thomas, and Walter (Charlene) beloved grandchildren, Charolette, Danielle, Tony, Thomas, Anthony, Ashley, Louis, Adriene, and Tessa; sisters, Gertrude (Bert) Walker, Eileen (Marshall) Ross; brothers, Louie (Shirley) Stevenson, Ralph (Marion) Stevenson, and Dave (Evelyn) Stevenson. Olga was predeceased by her parents, Marjorie and Ernest Stevenson; sisters, Roslind and Dina; brothers, Charlie and Billy. Olga lived most of her life in Hodgson. On December 10, 1966, her and Fred were married in Winnipeg. They farmed and raised their sons in the Hodgson area until 1983, at which time they moved to Pine Point, NWT. There they were both employed until November of 1986, when Olga became ill. This is when they returned home to the farm, and in September of 1999, they moved into the Early Settlers Lodge. Olga was a very caring person, and was instantly liked by everyone she met. She will be greatly missed. Wake services will be held at her son Walter Stevensons residence on Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Hodgson Metis Federation Hall on Monday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Hodgson Community Cemetery, Rev.
