MARIE BARRINGTON (nee SOWANY) Suddenly, on Sunday, July 16, 2000 at the Grace General Hospital, Marie Barrington passed away at the age of 81 years. Marie was born on March 15, 1919 in Roblin, Man. to Sam and Agnes Sowany. She served in the Navy for two years during the war and upon returning, she entered the profession of nursing. Marie practiced at the Brandon Mental Hospital for ten years and then moved into Winnipeg where she was employed at the Shriners Hospital for Children for 22 years. She was a loving and compassionate person. Marie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all those who knew her. Remaining to forever cherish Maries memory are her sisters, Anne Harris and Stella Cook (Paul) brother Victor Sowany and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Agnes and by a brother Harry Sowany. In compliance with Maries wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
