Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDMYTRO IWONCZYK Our sad announcement that Dmytro, aged 81 years, with his loving family at his side, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Concordia Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Anne, of 47 years; his children, Maria Hoychak ofthe Ukraine; Elsie Bordynuik and Lillian Gehon, both of Winnipeg; three grandchildren, Ivan, Olya and Jason; three great grandchildren in the Ukraine; brother Roman and family of the Ukraine; mother-in-law Maria Gregoraschuk of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Irene (Steve) Toffan; nephews Kenny Toffan, Jerry and Laurie Toffan and their family, Rick and Cheryl Toffan; brother-in-law Joe Gregoraschuk; and relatives and friends in Canada and overseas. Dmytro was born on March 14, 1919, in Selo-Synkiw Zaliczsczycki-Rn, Ternopilska-obl in Western Ukraine. He participated in the Second World War, came to Canada in 1951 and started a family. He was active in his community and many Ukrainian organizations. After retiring from Aetna Roofing, he became a beekeeper. Dmytro loved to be involved with his family and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. T. Babick, the doctors, nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital, Emergency for their loving care and support; to Father J. Holowaty for administering the Last Rites and also for marrying Dmytro and Anne in 1952; and especially to all those who gave their loving support at a time of need. Cremation has taken place. It was Dmytros request there be no viewing or service. Anyone wishing may make donations in Dmytros memory towards "Children of Chernobyl".
