CLARIS "BUD" SWEANY In loving memory of Claris "Bud" Sweany, age 89 years, who died at the Birchwood Terrace in Kenora on July 19, 2000. Bud is survived by his daughter Donna (Ross) Kent of Cobourg, Ont.; three sons, Dale Sweany of Calgary, Dennis (Sharron) Sweany of Dryden and George "Bud" (Darlene) Sweany of Prince George, B.C.; by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law Edith Hodgson of Carman, Man. He was predeceased by his wife Mabel Jean in 1991, daughter Claryce Unsworth and by two sisters and one brother. Bud was a longtime resident of Brandon, Winnipeg, Carman and Dryden areas and was employed by Manitoba Hydro, retiring in 1976. A service of remembrance to celebrate the life of Bud Sweany will be held Tuesday, July 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel with Rev. Ron Risley of St. Lukes Anglican Church officiating. Interment of ashes will take place in Manitoba at a later time. Should friends desire, donations to the Alzheimers Society may be made through the Stevens Funeral Homes "Moffat Chapel," 50 Albert St., or by mail at P.O. Box 412, Dryden, Ont., P8N 2Z1.
