ALBERT FENSKE On Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at the Concordia Hospital, Albert Fenske passed away at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude in 1993; twin granddaughters, Andrea and Claire Fenske in 1978, as well as his parents and his uncle Ewald Fenske. He is survived by son Albert (Patricia) Fenske; daughters, Marie (John) Wiens and Erika Fenske-Wiebe (John Wiebe) grandchildren, Anthony (Samantha) Wiebe, Terrence (Melanie) Wiebe, Kate Fenske, Richard Wiens and Andrew Fenske as well as a brother Emil Tscharkovski of Germany and sister Greta Romaniuk of Tasmania, Australia. Albert was employed by Monarch Industries from 1951 until his retirement in 1985. After retiring he took a very active role in helping to care for grandsons, Anthony, Terrence and Richard. He loved to spend time in the garden when at home, and fishing and relaxing at Rice Lake in the summer. He was a member of Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church for many years until transferring to Springfield Heights in 1999. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay with Pastor Ferdinand Funk officiating. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Viewing at the church prior to the service. Special thanks to Emergency and ICU staff, the nurses of N3 West and the chaplains at the Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8 or to a charity of choice.
