KATHLEEN REECE CROFT (nee KNIGHT) On Thursday, July 20th, 2000, at the Grace Hospital, Kathleen (Kay) Croft passed away at the age of 87 years. She is survived by two daughters: Georgia Purdy and husband, Warren, and their children, Alan and Karen; and Brenda Vopni and husband, Del, and their children Deborah (Brad Dorohoy) and Alanna. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry (Harry), her sister, Livinia, and her brother, Jack. Kay was born in Winnipeg on October, 23rd, 1912, and resided in the West End for all of her life. She and Harry were married August 29, 1936. Mom was a long time member of the Thistle Ladies Curling Club. She and Dad spent many enjoyable summer seasons at their cottage at Grand Beach. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A special thank you to the staff and residents of West Park Manor for their care and compassion to Mom during her time as a resident. Your thoughtfulness and consideration will be remembered and appreciated by her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
